Week 6

Masterton Swimming Sports

On Wednesday, I competed at the Masterton Swimming  Sports and it was awesome I competed in the 50m , 100m freestyle , the 50m fly , the 50m breaststroke and the 50m backstroke. Up first was the 100m freestyle and I was nervous because I was racing the 12 and 11 year olds but I guess I won't be that nervous when I grow up a bit and race but anyway I did pretty well in it and after the race I got told that I was racing in the relay. I was stoked because only the top boy and girl in each age group from Masterton got to do it and after each race I had what it seemed to be 2 seconds until I had to go to marshaling for my next race. I was so tired up until the relay when I got called up to the relay , I wasn't just racing for Solway anymore I was racing for Masterton it was exciting when it was nearly my time to swim it felt as if my feet were frozen to the blocks but when I dived off , I realized that I do this all the time and once I was in the water I was fine , in fact I didn't breathe to the middle of the pool and all of the crowd was roaring and at the end we won against south Wairarapa and when I walked to where the Masterton  seating area everyone was like ''You killed it'' ''Well done'' It was awesome!
