On Wednesday 10th
March Solway kids got to go to Memorial Park to play in the rippa world cup, we
were representing Romania. In the first game we faced South Africa and we won
10 to 8. We had a 10 minute break. We played England next we thought we would
lose but we drew 6 all. We got the 1st
try so that meant we won the game. We had to run as fast as we could to play Fiji
6 to 5. It was a really close game because we got a try right on the
hooter. We had lunch we were all as
hungry as lions and when we were in the parade we walked around the field
holding banners. Then the semis were on we had to face Tonga - Carterton school.
We won 6 to 2 then that meant we were in the final. We faced Samoa we were so
excited. Beau-Leah did the toss we
started. At halftime we were losing 5 to 4. They started with the ball. It was
almost the end 9 to 8 they got another try, the hooter goes off they won 10 to
8. Our team was gutted but we still had a great time.
p.s we got a ice-cream on
the way.
