Term 2 2014
We hope you have all had a nice break.....
We have another busy and exciting term planned for Kauri.
Learning this term:    Writing - Recounts and Persuasive writing. Maths - Multiplication and Division, Fractions, Proportions and Ratios, Algebra and Measurement ,The Arts - Art week, Folk Dancing.  Te Reo - Greeting and Farewells, Where we are from and asking how we are, Matariki. Our Rich Concepts topic is based around Mini Beasts. Health - Keeping Ourselves Safe.  PE -Ball skills, Cross country, Ti Rakau, Gymnastics.  Daily Instructional Reading. A continued focus on our Key Competencies - Thinking, Relating to others, Using language, texts and symbols, Managing Self, Participating and contributing.  Our Values this term are Duty and Consideration.
Other events:
Week 2: Parent Teacher Interviews and  a trip to watch a performance at Wairarapa College.  Week 7: Solway’s radio show.
 How you can help at home:
Continue to ensure children are completing homework.  Listen to your child read daily and test weekly spelling words.  Thank you for your continued support with these important areas of your child’s learning.
It’s going to be a fantastic term!!
